This page identifies the official offices that answer McDonald County criminal-record questions and explains the limits of this private resource. Court files, sheriff reports, booking records, and Missouri repository histories each belong to a different government custodian.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Send a McDonald County request to the office that maintains the record:

  • Court case files: use the court case lookup or contact the McDonald County Circuit Clerk
  • Criminal histories: order through the Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the McDonald County Sheriff's Office
  • Official Missouri checks: use the Missouri Automated Criminal History Site
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement: file the proper petition with the court that heard the case

For a sheriff-created report or county booking record, contact the McDonald County Sheriff's Office, 300 E. 7th St., P.O. Box 68, Pineville, MO 64856, 417-223-4319. No separate records-counter hours are published, so call before visiting.
